As the Capital Region gets ready for Monday's solar eclipse, one of the things we keep hearing is 'don't look directly at it'. The suns rays will still be coming through the atmosphere, even with the moon totally covering it.
If you don't have the recommended eyewear, you can still view the eclipse safely with a homemade viewer.
Here's what you'll need:
- Cardboard box
- White sheet of paper
- Aluminum foil
- A pushpin or tack
- Tape
- Scissors
