Crews were called Sunday night
Firefighters were on the scene of the Metro 7 Diner on Route 7 in Latham Sunday night. An alarm indicated smoke in the building, when crews arrived they found heavy smoke and eventually upgraded the situation to a working structure fire.
According to Sidewinder Photography on Facebook, fire was found within one of the walls. They were able to put the fire out and are investigating the cause.
On their Facebook Page, the Metro 7 Diner said they will be temporarily closed for repairs and thanked the firefighters for their quick response.
