They're open, but the intruder did some damage
Compadres Diner, a favorite local spot in Gansevoort, is dealing with the aftermath of a break-in attempt that happened Wednesday night.
In a Facebook post, the owners apologized for the unusually cold dining room, explaining that someone tried to break in through the back door. The intruder also stuffed the heater with aprons and cut a wire to the cooler.
The diner is asking anyone with information to contact the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Department.
