The new establishment will breathe new life into the location.
Two of the owners of Restaurant 605 are going to be branching out and opening a place of their own shortly after Labor Day.
Gabriel Moya and his fiancée Cory Winne will be opening 605 Smash in the former Ralph's Tavern location at 560 Madison Ave. in Albany. While nothing will be changing at Restaurant 605, one of their staples is the smashburger that is served. While they will still be served at that location, Moya is bringing those burgers to his new place and they will be the center piece of the new location.
One of the big differences between the two locations is that Restaurant 605 cannot accommodate take out orders. At 605 Smash they will look to fill the gap and offer dine-in, take-out and also delivery.
What will the menu at 605 Smash look like? They will offer single and double cheeseburgers. They will also offer an impossible patty option, a fried chicken sandwich and fries.
Once the new location is opened, Moya plans on being open from 11am-9pm Wednesday through Sunday.
Aesthetically, 605 Smash will resemble the look of Restaurant 605 while still honoring the history of the building that they are moving into.
