After a devastating fire, the famous frankfurter joint is back
After six long months, the mini dogs are finally back. Hot Dog Charlie’s on Saratoga Street in Cohoes has officially reopened after a fire forced the longtime favorite to close back in January.
The doors opened Monday July 7 at 10am. The meat sauce, the curly fries, the shakes—it’s all back at the counter where it belongs.
This spot has been around for generations, and the Cohoes location is a local landmark. The rebuild took time, but they stuck to the original look and feel.
Hours are back to normal, and yes, they’re serving up those dogs the way you remember them.
Welcome back, Charlie’s. We missed you!
