Their 'reaper' spice requires a waiver
The fast-growing chain filed a tenant change application with the Niskayuna Planning Board late last year for a spot at 412 Balltown Road, Suite 2—right next to Panera Bread and Spectrum.
Dave's has become a national sensation with more than 100 locations since it was founded in 2017. There are already three in the Capital Region—Amsterdam, Albany, and Queensbury.
Known for its jumbo chicken tenders, the menu offers spice levels from “No Spice” to “Reaper”—the latter requiring a signed waiver. Chicken sliders, crispy fries, creamy mac & cheese, and house-made kale slaw round out the offerings.
No official opening date yet, but if approved, Niskayuna could soon be the latest stop on Dave’s red-hot expansion.
