Willie Nelson Celebrates 92nd Birthday with New Album

American Music Icon Willie Nelson is celebrating his 92nd Birthday (April 29) with a new album, ‘Oh What A Beautiful World’!  For those of us who’ve been fans of Country Music for years, we really appreciate that Willie is still here, still making music, still touring, and still helping humanitarian causes like Farm Aid. As of this article, Willie is one of a few living legends linking the first-generation stars of Country Music to today’s Country Music World.

Although Willie has consistently released new music, the newer songs don’t always find their way to the charts- as is expected for heritage artists.  In my humble opinion, some of his ‘newer’ music is better than the commercial hits he had in the 70s and 80s- the same way I felt about George Jones’ and Kenny Rogers’ latter recordings.

Do yourself a favor and download Willie’s new album- but also take some time to download come of his projects from 2000-present.  There is just so much great music this man has made that so many Country Music fans may have missed.

This is just a small sample of some albums, from the last two decades, worthy of discovering and appreciating from the legendary Willie Nelson.
