The parade up Broadway will honor both schools that won State Championships
Saratoga Springs has two state championship winning teams in Baseball, and this evening they're going to celebrate.
The City of Saratoga Springs announces a parade to honor the Saratoga Springs High School Blue Streaks, who claimed the Class AAA Championship over Roy C. Ketcham of Section 1 in Binghamton on Saturday, June 14th, and the Spa Catholic Saints, who won the Class C Championship over Deposit-Hancock on the same day. For both teams, it is the first state championship in program history.
The parade will step off at Congress Park at 6:30pm, then proceed up Broadway to City Hall, where Saratoga Springs Mayor John Safford will honor both teams with proclamations.
The public is encouraged to line the streets of Broadway and cheer both teams on as they drive by. Delays are expected through the duration of the parade while Broadway is closed to non-parade traffic.
