The crash took place Tuesday
Officials from the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating a plane crash at Saratoga County Airport that left one person seriously injured. The crash prompted a large emergency response, complicated by a separate crash at the airport entrance. A student pilot, Max Vogel, captured photos and video of the aftermath, showing smoke and flames on the runway. During the response, a vehicle from the Saratoga County Office of Emergency Services collided with a Jeep at the airport entrance, resulting in non-life-threatening injuries to both drivers. The NTSB is expected to release a preliminary report on the crash within 30 days and is seeking information from witnesses.
