The show spotlights the rigorous training process to become an officer
A new YouTube series titled “Do You Have What It Takes?” is giving viewers an inside look at the challenges faced by recruits training to become Saratoga County Sheriff’s deputies. The series takes you behind the scenes to follow each recruit’s journey—highlighting the physical, mental, and emotional demands of law enforcement training.
Created by the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office, the show aims to give the public a better understanding of what it takes to serve and protect the community. From fitness drills to classroom instruction, the series explores how recruits are tested on discipline, resilience, and decision-making under pressure.
The first episode features four recruits:
- Will Zimmerman, Moreau
- Courtney Bush, Rotterdam
- Sekou Sevane, Clifton Park
- Lucas Waring, Clifton Park
The series spotlights the realities of modern policing and what it means to wear the badge in Saratoga County. You can watch the first episode below. New episodes are expected to be released regularly.
