It would seem that the short answer is "YES"
On Tuesday night, the Colonie town planning board unanimously voted and approved bringing Raising Cane's to Wolf Rd.
Where on Wolf Rd, exactly? It looks like it will be taking over where the old Ninety-Nine Restaurant & Pub once occupied. That building has sat vacant for the past two years but it looks like things are going to be changing in the near future. The structure that stands there now will be demolished and a brand new building will be going up to house Raising Cane's.
One of the only concerns with brining "Cane's" to Wolf Rd is parking. It's something that the Ninety-Nine had to deal with as well when they were in this location. On busy nights for Texas Roadhouse, which is right next door, customers would park in the Ninety-Nine parking lot and create a parking issue for people that were customers of "The Nines". There was a solution purposed by Town Board Chairman Steven Heider, however. He suggested that the new tenants consider putting in either heavy landscaping or even more secure fencing. Both would probably deter non-customers of Raising Cane's to use the other parking lot.
The other concern that was brought up was traffic flow in and out of the new Raising Cane's.
Other than those two issues, which we're sure they will come up with solutions for, it looks like Raising Cane's will be a new fixture at 107 Wolf Rd. right in the heart of Colonie.
