This will be the 3rd eatery on Wolf Rd. to close in the last month.
Hong Kong Bakery & Bistro is set to close it's doors on August 26th. The reason for the closing is not due to the rent being too high or from lack of business. The owners are actually retiring.
Hong Kong Bakerey & Bistro was opened in 2003 by owners Berry Lai and Shu Lam Chan on Troy Schenectady Rd. before they moved to two different locations on Central Ave. in Albany. They finally landed on Wolf Rd. where the restaurant has been for the last 11 years.
Here is the official "retirement" post from Hong Kong Bakery & Bistro's Facebook page.
