Kate Sullivan

Hey, it's Kate Sullivan. You'll find me weekends on The Cat. I started in radio 20 years ago when I responded to a contest on WFFG-Froggy 107.1. They were asking people to "call the hotline" and "in your best radio voice, tell us why you should be the next Froggy Morning Show Host". Two interviews and airchecks later, I got my break in radio.
I'm originally a Glens Falls girl who moved as far as 2 miles away from her childhood home to my home in Queensbury. LOL. What can I say, this area is truly my home! I'm a very proud SUNY ADK Alumna. FUNNY FACT: I'm not a college graduate. It's nothing personal, but I just didn't see why physical education or a science class with a lab could make me a better radio personality.
I love music of all kinds. When I was young, my mother had multiple albums. Johnny Mathis, Earth, Wind, & Fire, The Doobie Brothers, Kenny Rogers the Gambler, and a Dolly Parton Greatest Hits Album...all on vinyl. My brother and I loved to hear "Islands in the Stream". and in my mind, all I needed was a hairbrush as a microphone, and I was a star! Music has always been a part of where I have joy. I'll see you on the weekend. Tune in and we'll enjoy the best new country music, some laughs, and maybe a contest or two... As I said, those contests can change your life! <3
Favorite Artist: Well, I have a true love for JoDee Messina & Lee Ann Womack... and these days, I'm truly digging Chris Stapleton & Lainey Wilson.
Favorite Concert so far: Tie between Dierks Bentley/Brothers Osborn/Old Dominion @SPAC or Travis Tritt/Charlie Daniels Band @ Glens Falls Cool Insuring Arena
Favorite Interview: Hands Down... Naomi Judd!
Favorite Meet & Greet: Garth & Trisha on his world tour (they took 6 people backstage at a time to make sure they gave time to each person who was waiting to meet them).
Favorite Backstage Experience: Meeting Dustin Lynch, then Dancing with Phillip Sweet (LBT) backstage at SPAC... before meeting Luke Bryan with free drinks, delicious food and desserts. With a bathroom accessible so you don't have to use the main bathroom at SPAC... ahhhh... that was sweet.
Favorite thing about The Cat: I love Sean & Andrea in the morning. BEST MORNING SHOW AROUND!!!
