Bill Anderson Releases New Music
Through the years I've always made it a point to showcase new music from established artists. In my humble opinion, I feel like most artists release some of their best material after they stop having radio chart hits. The Oak Ridge Boys, Willie Nelson, George Jones, Glen Campbell and Merle Haggard are all great examples of singers who've continued to release new quality music long after they stopped having hits on the radio.
Now, the longest serving member of the Grand Ole Opry ( 62 years as of 2024 ), 86 year old Whisperin' Bill Anderson has just dropped a new song with some 'old' friends: Vince Gill, Willie Nelson, Bobby Bare and Jimmy Fortune of the Statler Brothers. Check out 'The Country I Grew Up With', posted below, to hear the latest example of a legend still churning out quality music decades into a career. In addition to the new single below, check out Bill's 2023 song 'Someday It'll All Make Sense' with Dolly Parton, 2010's 'Thanks To You' and his 2019 Jamey Johnson duet 'Everyone Wants To Be 21'. These are some great songs that could have, and should have, been heard by more ears.
