Remembering A Country Music Icon

Country Music icon Toby Keith passed on Monday Feb. 5, 2024 at the age of 62.  Toby was brave and public about his battle with cancer since 2022.  Although we all hoped he would recover and get back to doing what he loved, he was able to play a final set of shows in Las Vegas in December 2023.

Toby dominated Country Radio in the 90s, and kept the hit streak going through the Y2K era.  Along the way, he opened up his own 'I Love This Bar & Grill' restaurants, supported the military around the globe with numerous USO tours, and even built the OK Kids Korral, a home for children and families battling cancer in Oklahoma.

Hits like 'Beer With My Horses (with Willie Nelson)' 'How Do You Like Me Now' 'American Solider' 'Who's Your Daddy' 'As Good As I Once Was' 'Courtesy Of The Red, White and Blue' and 'My List' earned him seven Grammy Award nominations, 2 CMA Awards and 12 ACM Awards. The list of awards is long, but one of the highlights was his induction into the National Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2015.

In addition to his many radio hits, Toby starred in his own movies 'Broken Bridges' (2006) and 'Beer For My Horses' (2008).

We all know Toby's fan favorites like 'Should've Been A Cowboy' 'Wish I Didn't Know Now' "He Ain't Worth Missing' 'A Little Less Talk (And A Lot More Action)' 'American Ride' and 'Red Solo Up', but here are some deep cuts and hidden gems we encourage you to rediscover:
